Eurypterid.jpg (575424 bytes) Eurypterus remipes is an ancient ancestor to the modern horseshoe crab. These Eurypterid fossils are Silurian in age and typically are found in the shale deposits of the northeastern US and southeastern Canada. This particular specimen is mostly intact and 12 cm long; the matrix block is ~11.5 cm by 18 cm. It was recovered from the Fiddlers Green Formation, Herkimer County, New York. Reasonably priced at SOLD, it is an affordable good quality Eurypterid for display and collector enjoyment. 

 

Crinoid plate, 11, $3500.jpg (330183 bytes) Here is an outstanding collector crinoid plate from the famous Crawfordsville, Indiana, location. There are 11 different species of crinoids (including a rare "horned" crinoid) on this plate and each is identified by number on the accompanying identification card. These crinoids are Mississippian in age and come from the Ramp Creek Member, Harrodsburg Limestone, Montgomery County, Indiana. This spectacular specimen has been in our personal display for several years but someone else should enjoy it now. The plate is priced at SOLD

These are Asterocites sp. starfish from the Pennsylvanian period, Rock Lake Formation, Lenexa, Kansas. They have not been available for many years as the area was covered with residences.
